GETTING CREATIVE

Hi everyone,

How was your week? am believing you all got busy with work and got creative.

Tomisin got creative, i just love being creative, its the part of me i launched into few years back.

Talking about being creative, (that was my first post actually, please check it) i decided to follow through on my makeup skills, to be the professional that i wanted to be ( hehehe, not so much of a professional, but believe me, i got somewhere close to being the awesome MUA you might wanna call upon when the time comes).

So through out Saturday and Monday i got busy with my creative side by picking up my makeup bag (i call it bag because its actually a big hand bag, filled up with my makeup kits) and played with colors.

See ehen, (pardon my use of word) i did not need to go to any makeup school, neither did my sister, by the way i got my inspiration to be multi-talented from her, yes! i admit, she's younger and she is so pretty (chai) that girl is the living example of the biblical provision that says i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. i mean, what can she not do, she's a fashion designer, hair stylist, Makeup artist, writer, and so on. i call her the all-rounder.

I decided to be useful to myself, family and God. As  earlier stated we did not need to go to any makeup school, all thanks to YouTube. During my NYSC days, especially when on break, i would just go straight to YouTube and make myself useful, it paid off o.

All these i did myself, i feel great and i am still working on getting better. Its an awesome feeling to know i really do not have to pay for my make up, may be on my wedding day, and who knows, i might just turn out to be so perfect and not need to pay about a hundred and fifty thousand Naira (150k) to get made up and now clean off at the end of the day, Ha! God help us.

The secret to this is continuous practice, practice they say, makes one perfect, i can not count the number of times, days or hour i spent getting to this level.

The moral of this my not so long story and post be say, do not give up on that skill or project, keep pushing, keep practicing, it will work and come together someday, who knows, it might just be tomorrow.

Secondly, if you are job hunting and nothing is coming up, think and get busy with that thing you are really good at, or just ask God for ideas, you are on your way to getting employed by YOU.

lots of love from me to you. (kisses)

  3. Love, love your articles Tomisin! They are so inspirational. We all need to look for ways to productively spend our (extra) time learning new skills and probably making money while at it.
